Summer sea breeze

Howard and Karen wanted the privacy that a wall around their pool provides, but were a little disappointed that they were losing the view from their lovely Florida home. Rudy was able to take inspiration from his time spent living in Florida to paint local nature scenes on the Hartman’s privacy wall.

Murals are often overlooked when it comes to their ability to transform very functional architecture and home elements into pieces of art and beauty. With a short conversation, Rudy was able to turn a couple of ideas into a series of murals that provide a relaxing setting for the Hartman’s.

In addition to the nature scenes, Rudy enhanced the columns and surrounding walls using Trompe-l'œil techniques. He added rustic woodwork over the windows and doors, as well as around the base of the columns. Rudy’s ability to paint in a variety of styles from realism to romanticism to impressionism allow’s allowed him to take this project to another level.
